Memoirs

In this book, Elizabeth Goudie recounts her life in Labrador throughout the 20th century, as a pioneer, mother and trapper's wife. The book relates the great social and cultural changes that the Inuit of Nunatsiavut experienced with the industrialization of Labrador and its opening up to the rest of the world. It is one of the important historical documents of Labrador.

The book is reprinted and republished several times: in 1974, 1975, 1979, 1983, 1996, 2000, 2008 and 2014.
