Conference [in French and in Inuktitut] by Louis-Jacques Dorais on the history of Inuit Studies

In his conference "ᐃᓄᒃᓯᐅᑏᑦ : ᐃᓄᐃᑦ ᒥᑦᓵᓄᑦ ᖃᐅᔨᓭᒐᓱᐊᕐᑎᓗᒋᑦ ᐅᑭᐅᓂᑦ 50ᓂᑦ", professor Louis-Jacques Dorais, specialist of Inuit Studies, recounts the great moments in the emergence of studies concerning the Inuit. This conference was delivered in March 2023 as part of the work of the International Laboratory for Research on Images of the North, Winter and the Arctic, directed by Daniel Chartier at the Université du Québec à Montréal. The Round Table was organized by Julie Graff. It precedes the publication of an essay of the same title, ᐃᓄᒃᓯᐅᑏᑦ : ᐃᓄᐃᑦ ᒥᑦᓵᓄᑦ ᖃᐅᔨᓭᒐᓱᐊᕐᑎᓗᒋᑦ ᐅᑭᐅᓂᑦ 50ᓂᑦ which will be launched on August 30th, 2023 in the Isberg collection of the Laboratory. This conference was organized with the support of the Canada History Fund of the Department of Canada Heritage, as well as the Fondation de l'UQAM and Énergir.
