Trilingual essay on zoological knowledge in Nunavik
The Inuit of the community of Kangiqsualujjuaq in Nunavik share their knowledge of the animals that inhabit their region, that of Ungava Bay in which flow the George and Koroc Rivers. The community neighbors the magnificent Kuururjuaq National Park. The work published in Inuktitut, French and English outlines the names of the animals, observations made by the Inuit and stories which draw on their humor, humility and respect for nature.
