The author, professor and researcher Norma Dunning published a translation into French of her collection of short stories, under the title Annie Muktuk et autres histoires at Québec publisher Mémoire d'encrier. The book has first been published in English in 2017 under the title Annie Muktuk and Other Stories. It has been translated by Daniel Grenier.
In this book, Norma Dunning presents a series of short stories that combine reflections on the contemporary situation of the Inuit, and their traditional cosmology. With humor and realism, she seeks to question received ideas about the Inuit, their values and their identity.
